Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Sales & Business Development Broker to grow our Private Client / High-Net-Worth practice in the Golden Horseshoe. This role is ideal for a trusted advisor who thrives in complex personal risk environments, values long-term relationships, and delivers a white-glove client experience.

 

What You’ll Do 

Business Development & Growth 

  • Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy focused on high-net-worth clients in Burlington and Oakville and surrounding areas.
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with centers of influence including wealth advisors, private bankers, accountants, and realtors. 
  • Represent the Private Client practice at networking events and strategic partner meetings. 
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships through proactive coverage reviews and risk conversations. 

Client Advisory & Relationship Management 

  • Act as a trusted advisor delivering thoughtful guidance across complex personal insurance portfolios. 
  • Lead discovery conversations focused on lifestyle, assets, liabilities, and emerging risks. 
  • Design and present customized insurance solutions including high-value homes, auto, specialty vehicles, and umbrella liability. 
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through annual reviews and proactive touchpoints. 

Collaboration & Service Excellence 

  • Partner closely with Private Client concierge servicing teams to ensure a seamless, white-glove experience. 
  • Provide clear guidance to servicing colleagues on placement, renewals, and ongoing client needs. 

 

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in personal lines insurance with a focus on high-net-worth and complex risks
  • Demonstrated success in business development and referral-based growth
  • Active RIBO license
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Ability to simplify complex insurance concepts with confidence and clarity
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Collaborative, service-oriented mindset
