Job Summary:
The Sr. Vice President has local and regional responsibility for multiple highly complex clients. This Sr. Leadership role reports directly to the Northeast Regional Managing Director. This is an exciting opportunity to shape strategy & expand Influence in the Northeast. This newly created position for the Northeast region offers a unique opportunity to develop a strategic vision and cultivate a powerful network in an area experiencing consistent and dynamic growth. As a key leader, you will build, innovate, and drive meaningful impact, positioning yourself at the forefront of regional success. This is a hands-on role; you are the driver, supporter and implementor. Manages new and existing clients, maintains strong relationships with key client stakeholders and carriers and is responsible for policy compliance and people management functions.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Albany, NY. While you will have flexibility in your work schedule, a significant number of Advisors and clients are located in and around the NYC tri-state area, making periodic client visits within the region essential. For this reason, it is highly beneficial to be located in the NYC tri-state area and have the ability to travel as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain ongoing relationships with complex and large clients; Act as the subject matter expert on Property & Casualty and carrier products and services.
- Supervise a Department or function
- Performs marketing functions for all new and renewal business. Prepares renewal proposals for presentation to client, as well as new business proposals.
- May visit clients to review insurance programs or new products, or introduce new products

Assist in the recruitment and interview process for open positions

Attend new business and renewal presentations as needed

Monitor various EPIC reports and discuss them with staff as necessary

Responsible for keeping up on industry changes and market strategies and communicating information with staff as necessary

EPIC experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Knowledge of all areas of commercial property & casualty insurance coverage with a strong acumen in Real Estate, Private Equity and Construction.
- Ability to build relationships and drive business growth and retention. Be a self-starter, work independently, anticipate client and team needs and make sound independent decisions.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications and have excellent presentation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Leadership skills with commanding presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills. Read, analyze and reconcile financial reports.
- Excellent written communication skills – writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
- Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities
- Strong leadership skills
- • EPIC experience preferred
- Monitor and review EPIC reports and communicate findings with staff as needed
- Stay current on industry trends and market strategies and share relevant updates with the team
- Partner with producers on new business strategy
- Conduct stewardship calls on accounts over $50K in revenue, five months prior to renewal and one month post renewal
- Review producer compensation to ensure PR/BR accuracy and collaborate with producers and the producer compensation team to resolve discrepancies
- Attend new business and renewal presentations as needed
- Lead and participate in team meetings with team leaders and staff
- Assign and adjust service teams based on business needs
Education and/or Experience:
- Property & Casualty Broker’s License required upon hire. CPCU or other P&C designation preferred
- BA/BS preferred; Master’s degree in relevant subject (e.g., business, statistics, math/science, and actuarial science) highly desirable.
- More than 15 years of industry and product line experience.
- Must have retail brokerage experience (can be in addition to, but not limited to only Carrier, Wholesaler, and Intermediary agencies).

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 – $247,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
