Summary of the Role: The Sales Assistant provides administrative, operational, and client service support to the sales team, ensuring timely execution of sales activities and an exceptional client experience. This role helps maintain accurate records, supports proposal development, assists with scheduling and coordination, and contributes to overall sales efficiency. The Sales Assistant works collaboratively across departments to support business development and client retention efforts. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Support & Coordination

  • Assist sales team with preparation of presentations, proposals, quotes, and meeting materials.
  • Maintain accurate CRM entries, including client information and pipeline updates.
  • Coordinate meetings, calls, and follow-up tasks.
  • Track proposal deadlines, RFP deliverables, and time-sensitive requirements.

Client Service & Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries.
  • Support onboarding by preparing documentation and coordinating hand-offs.
  • Gather client information and documents for proposals or renewals.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Organize and maintain digital files and sales resources.
  • Prepare regular sales activity reports and metrics.
  • Support logistics for sales meetings, client visits, and events.
  • Assist with expense reports and travel arrangements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns and collateral.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Client Services.
  • Participate in team meetings and support process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with CRM platforms preferred.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative or sales support experience.
  • Experience in professional services, insurance, or financial services is a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
