Account Executive – Employee Benefits (Hybrid)

Summary of Role: This is a full-time hybrid position, with the expectation of two days onsite and three days remote each week.  The position will have the responsibility to provide client advisory and consultative services for all health and welfare plans and services.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing claims/cost reporting, strategic analysis, compliance and legislative guidance, contract and performance standards review, HR procedures assistance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Marketing analysis of group benefits for new business and renewals
  • Manage marketing process and ensure spreadsheet terms are accurately implemented and documented
  • Claims and cost analysis for existing clients
  • Vendor liaison for clients for all service, billing, and eligibility issues with carriers
  • Responsible for meeting summaries and follow up with team members and external vendors
  • Familiarity with carrier contracts, polices, and differentiators
  • Responsible for maintaining outstanding checklists and renewal timelines for assigned clients
  • Contract review and compliance support
  • Proactive customer service and HR support
  • Communication, education, and wellness support coordinated with team members
  • Maintain files and databases
  • Implementation and compliance support in coordination with team members
  • Assist and organize the onboarding process for all new business cases and new business lines on designated accounts

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: 

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills, to include excel, word, power point
  • Strong client development and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment 

Education and/or Experience:   

  • 5 years Client Management experience in Employee Benefits. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience in group core benefits, voluntary benefits, ancillary benefits, and enrollment/eligibility systems options for clients

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • Resident state (FL 2-15) Life and Health Department of Insurance License

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 – $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
