Apprentice Account Handler

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Commercial Account Handler to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop in a dynamic and supportive environment, gaining hands-on experience in commercial insurance broking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in supporting the broking team with client portfolios, focusing on renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries.
• Contribute to delivering excellent client service in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Learn to handle a range of commercial insurance policies (including EL, PL, PI, D&O, and Property) across SME to Corporate clients.
• Begin to develop an understanding of each client’s business, culture, and insurance needs.
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Participate in training, team meetings, and occasional project work to broaden your industry knowledge.

• Eagerness to learn and build a career in the insurance industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education/ Qualifications and/or Experience: 

• Ideally some exposure to an insurance or financial services environment (e.g. through an internship, work placement, or admin role) is helpful but not essential
• Working toward or interested in pursuing a relevant insurance qualification
• A keen interest in developing knowledge of commercial insurance and client relationship management
• Diploma or degree in a relevant field preferred but not mandatory
