Overview:  This internship supports the Benefit and Human Resources technology team through project management, including support of benefit administration systems and other online enrollment tools (SaaS products). This position also assists in various other technology projects, such as creating and editing documents in Microsoft word and excel.    This role is accountable for these 5 key areas:
  • Learn process and understand features of online enrollment systems (Employee Navigator and Alex/Jellyvision)
  • Collaborate with internal team, carriers or clients on special projects
  • Provide Quality Assurance testing of enrollment system
  • Assist in troubleshooting software issues and repairing them
  • Provide Online document support

 

Responsibilities:
  •   Learn process and understand features of online enrollment systems
    • With training, need to have a thorough working knowledge of systems
  • Collaborate with internal team, carriers, or clients on special projects
    • Assist with finalizing or updating client census information, gather plan settings and applicable plan documents from internal team or carriers
  • Provide Quality Assurance testing of enrollment system
    • Audit new client systems and Open Enrollment set-up, verifying information is set up correctly per final plan specs
  • Assist in troubleshooting software issues and repairing them
    • Act as another Employee Navigator support contact for internal teams
  • Provide online document support
    • Upload plan documents in enrollment system as requested
Goals and Measures of Success:
  • Proficiency in Employee Navigator, responsive to requests, ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.

 

Qualifications:
  •  Working toward degree in computer science, human resources, communications or other business-related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)
  • Knowledge of web technologies

 

Essential Functions and Skills:
  • Project Management, including balancing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience with computer applications such as databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Self-started and ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Proficiency in computers, business software and Microsoft office

The hourly rate range for this position is $18 to $22. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
