Summary: This is a full-time position that requires the Benefit Coordinator to provide support to the Account Management teams and departments. The Benefit Coordinator will participate in projects with the teams that will assist in their development into Benefit Analyst roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Account Teams in their preparation for client meetings by reviewing presentations for grammar and ensuring formatting is in line with NFPCS standards.
- Compile, print and bind presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of Open Enrollment materials and packets. Attend open enrollment meetings with the Benefit Analysts and/or Account Executives.
- Gather Schedule- A information in preparation for annual client 5500 filings.
- Prepare carrier provided application forms for new lines of coverage.
- Draft transaction letters such as plan amendments and terminations as well as thank you notes and meeting follow up.
- Assist in coordination of client wellness fairs and flu shot clinics.
- Ensure all client data is entered into the CRM System (SalesForce) in a timely manner.
- Creation and maintenance of client census data.
- Participate in Benefit Coordinator training program as outlined on the NFPCS training portal.
- Work on special projects as assigned and contribute ideas for improvement in efficiency of workflow processes.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
- Ability to learn and expand upon benefit industry knowledge.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Education and/or Experience:
- Four Year college or university degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Employees required to obtain the NYS Life, Accident and Health License within 12 months of employment.

The base salary range for this position is $40,000 to $45,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
