Job Responsibilities

The office leader is responsible for leading the P&C practice in a geographic market, with accountability for growth, client retention, workforce planning, client experience, and local carrier relationships in coordination with brokerage teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growth

  • Own market performance: deliver client retention and top-line growth targets through disciplined execution and accountability. Corporate retention baseline target 92% and new business/growth depending on geographic region and circumstances.
  • Partner with Growth/Sales on retention and expansion: engage sellers at the right time (risk, renewal, expansion) and coordinate upsell/cross-sell with the service team.

Client Retention

  • Run a proactive retention cadence: identify at-risk clients early, drive recovery plans, confirm value at renewal, and track.
  • Strengthen client outcomes by leveraging national practices/centers of excellence; navigate delivery obstacles and manage exceptions.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key accounts (when no Producer) and an escalation point for complex situations; drive issues to resolution.
  • Engage key clients directly where needed: lead critical meetings, reinforce a consistent client experience, and coach teams on executive communication.
  • Collaborate with Broking on carrier strategy and broking levers: maintain strategic carrier relationships, and advocate for improved client outcomes.

Team Management and Development

  • Lead and coach P&C colleagues and service teams: set expectations, reinforce service standards, and ensure adherence to scope, policies, and quality.
  • Develop talent: performance coaching, career development, and succession planning tied to retention and growth goals.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top talent; proactively manage capacity and staffing to protect client delivery and retention

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Property & Casualty Broker’s License required upon hire. CPCU or other P&C designation preferred 
  • BA/BS preferred; Master’s degree in relevant subject (e.g., business, statistics, math/science, and actuarial science) highly desirable. 
  • More than 15 years of industry and product line experience. 
  • Must have retail brokerage experience (can be in addition to, but not limited to only Carrier, Wholesaler, and Intermediary agencies)
  • Management/Leadership of direct reports

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 – $247,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
