This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility 3 days a week.
Summary of Role:
The Senior Coordinator is responsible for assisting the life insurance personnel with all aspects of administrative support and client service
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete expense reports for senior leaders, order lunches or make reservations and make travel arrangements.
- Act as an extension of NFP senior leadership team to internal and external customers by exemplifying a winning attitude and showing you care about clients and internal customers.
- Be professional, including maintaining a high level of discretion regarding confidential and sensitive information.
- Assemble meeting preparation documents pertaining to the client/prospect prior to sales meetings, including but not limited to, product specific sales illustrations, policy and product summaries, reports, presentations, and marketing packets.
- Take a proactive lead on conserving the existing block of life insurance by notifying clients of overdue insurance premiums and coverage in danger of lapsing, tracking all attempts and progress, and keeping the leader informed of problematic cases.
- Process policy service requests: this may include address, beneficiary/ownership changes, and premium mode changes etc. Follow up with insurance carriers and vendors to ensure accuracy and speed.
- Ensure data accuracy in company records by regularly and routinely updating client and carrier/vendor information in CRM and maintain electronic client files according to company compliant procedures.
- Complete policy summaries or annual reviews of clients’ life insurance coverage as assigned
- Perform administrative duties for the department including scanning and accurately filing materials, reviewing incoming mail, fielding phone calls, preparing team meeting materials, and greeting clients.
- Assist team with special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Insurance product knowledge (life, disability, and long-term care).
- CRM knowledge, entering new clients, keeping client data updated, policy record creation, task management, workspace management, calendar management.
- Well-organized
- Detailed, takes pride in work
- Service Knowledge – to assist clients with changes to policies
- Retention skills
- Multitasker, ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously
- Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred
- 1-3 years prior experience, preferably within financial services
- Previous experience in life insurance, assisting executives and teams, and providing a high level of client service is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Life and Health (preferred, not required)
